Este artículo propone un acercamiento a la psicopatología desde la filosofía social concentrándose en tres momentos. En el primero, proponemos distinguir las condiciones de posibilidad sociales e históricas que producen la emergencia de un discurso psicopatológico de sus condiciones de validez. Las condiciones de validez nos sitúan en el interior del discurso psicopatológico, en el ámbito de la proposición, cuya verdad o falsedad no se decide arbitrariamente sino a partir de las reglas constitutivas del discurso. Las condiciones de posibilidad se (...) sitúan en otro nivel: el de advertir que la oposición entre lo verdadero y lo falso se organiza entorno al discurso de la psicopatología como un tipo particular de discurso que se constituye en un momento concreto y cuya emergencia supone asimismo la intervención de múltiples factores y agentes, no todos ellos científicos. En un segundo momento, nos proponemos defender la importancia de la forma de vida socialmente compartida para entender la psicopatología y, finalmente, ahondar en la relación entre la forma de vida socialmente compartida y los modos de experimentar la psicosis. The Mexican Network of Women Philosophers has devoted its 2024 Permanent Seminar to reflect upon the slogan “Decentering the Canon to think ourselves today”. The idea supporting the slogan is partly motivated by a concern regarding how the necessary critiques to the Philosophical Canon have often been formulated in terms of the indispensability to add voices to it, or as a recommendation to stop reading some of the texts that have traditionally made it up. Even while these positions have a (...) lot going on for their plausibility, we claim that it is essential not to give it up, and that subverting it requires more than just adding voices to it. The Philosophical Canon is part of our inheritance. If we accept that we are partly constituted by what we inherit, then canceling it means eliminating part of who we are. We claim that a better option to overturn the Canon is to Decenter it. That is, to acknowledge that there is not a single way of dealing with it, that it is mobile and open, that it is there to be transformed, to help us think of those problems that actually matter to us in our present lives. Kantian reason is a reason characterized by discontinuity and fractures, by fragility and conflict. This article sets out to trace how Kant identifies forms of “possible experience” with the aesthetic sensibility of “politically reasonable” creatures from the exclusion and rejection of the fragility and conflict that, nevertheless, characterize the finitude of human reason that he himself proposes. Madness, fanaticism and slavery, will serve to turn Kant against himself and to suggest tools that point to the importance of bodies and practices, (...) to the aesthetic dimension in the construction of the sensus communis and to the possibility of the universal communicability of alien forms of historical and social experience.
