A Structural Equation Modeling of the Relationships Between Parenting Styles, Students’ Personality Traits, and Students’ Achievement Goal Orientation.Faramarz Asanjarani, Khadijeh Aghaei, Tahereh Fazaeli, Adnan Vaezi & Monika Szczygieł - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 12.
Recently, researchers have shown an increased interest in achievement goal orientation correlates. What is not yet clear is the detailed relationships among students’ goal orientation, students’ personality traits, and parenting style. In so doing, this research responds to the need to analyze the importance of parenting styles and students’ traits in explaining the achievement goal orientations. In the exploratory correlational study, 586 Iranian students along with their parents were selected as the sample so as to evaluate the structure of the (...)

The Role of Animal in Abū Bakr al-Rāzī’s Theory of the Perfection of the Soul.Ahad Faramarz-Qaramaleki & Mohammad Mehdi Montaseri - 2022 - Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie 104 (4):712-734.
Abū Bakr al-Rāzī (d. ca. 925), a well-known physician and Muslim philosopher, has not yet been widely considered for his philosophical reflections on animals. An inspection of al-Rāzī’s works demonstrates his endeavor, based on his cosmology, to come up with a way of the perfection of the soul and becoming liberated from the terrestrial world. As this paper maintains, his investigation of animals is aimed at developing his theory of the perfection of the soul. After a brief clarification of the (...)

Effects of Personality and Information Technology on Plagiarism: An Iranian Perspective.Babak Sohrabi, Aryan Gholipour & Neda Mohammadesmaeili - 2011 - Ethics and Behavior 21 (5):367 - 379.
Information technology has played a remarkably important role in developing the contemporary educational system. It not only provides easy access to enormous stores of information but also increases students' scientific efficiency. However, the availability of this technology has also led to increased plagiarism. This study attempted to explore how access to Internet technology contributes to plagiarism problems from the perspective of university students in Iran. A qualitative method to semistructured interviews with 20 students suggested important themes: uncertainty avoidance, tendency to (...)

    Principle-oriented leadership: A case study of ethics in business.Faramarz Ettehadieh - 1998 - World Futures 52 (2):143-154.
Four leadership styles are discussed: authoritarian, paternalistic, all?knowing, and manipulative. The drawbacks of each style are shown: they are hierarchical, with centralized structure and process, poorly adapted to contemporary society and the environment of business. In their place Principle?Oriented Leadership is suggested, at the same time effective and ethical, hallmarked by a search for values associated with unity, service, consultation, trustworthiness, and justice.

Groups elementarily equivalent to a free nilpotent group of finite rank.Alexei G. Myasnikov & Mahmood Sohrabi - 2011 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 162 (11):916-933.
In this paper, we give a complete algebraic description of groups elementarily equivalent to the P. Hall completion of a given free nilpotent group of finite rank over an arbitrary binomial domain. In particular, we characterize all groups elementarily equivalent to a free nilpotent group of finite rank.

A Co-Word Analysis of Global Research on Knowledge Organization: 1900-2019.Ali Akbar Khasseh, Faramarz Soheili & Omid Alipour - 2022 - Knowledge Organization 49 (5):303-315.
The study’s objective is to analyze the structure of knowledge organization studies conducted worldwide. This applied research has been conducted with a scientometrics approach using the co-word analysis. The research records consisted of all articles published in the journals of Knowledge Organization and Cataloging & Classification Quarterly and keywords related to the field of knowledge organization indexed in Web of Science from 1900 to 2019, in which 17,950 records were analyzed entirely with plain text format. The total number of keywords (...)

Ω-stability and Morley rank of bilinear maps, rings and nilpotent groups.Alexei G. Myasnikov & Mahmood Sohrabi - 2017 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 82 (2):754-777.
In this paper we study the algebraic structure ofω-stable bilinear maps, arbitrary rings, and nilpotent groups. We will also provide rather complete structure theorems for the above structures in the finite Morley rank case.

Localization of Schema.org for Manuscript Description in the Iranian-Islamic Information Context.Asefeh Asemi, Ahmad Shabani, Seyed Mahdi Taheri, Mozaffar Cheshmeh Sohrabi & Morteza Mohammadi Ostani - 2022 - Knowledge Organization 48 (5):345-356.
This study aims to assess the localization of Schema.org for manuscript description in the Iranian-Islamic information context using documentary and qualitative content analysis. The schema.org introduces schemas for different Web content objects so as to generate structured data. Given that the structure of Schema.org is ontological, the inheritance of the manuscript types from the properties of their parent types, as well as the localization and description of the specific properties of the manuscripts in the Iranian-Islamic information context were investigated in (...)

The present qualitative study aimed to explain the experiences of clinical professors with regard to humanism in clinical education in Iran.MethodsThis mixed methods study had two phases, a quanitative phase of scientometrics and a qualitative phase of a content analysis. In the scientometrics phase, Ravar PreMap and VOSviewer software programs were utilized for plotting the conceptual networks. The networks were analyzed at the micro-level based on centrality indices. The conceptual network (...)

  12. Bridging the Gap Between Ethical Theory and Practice in Medicine: A Constructivist Grounded Theory Study.Mansure Madani, AbouAli Vedadhir, Bagher Larijani, Zahra Khazaei & Ahad Faramarz Gharamaleki - 2020 - Science and Engineering Ethics 26 (2):2255-2275.
Physicians try hard to alleviate mental and physical ailments of their patients. Thus, they are heavily burdened by observing ethics and staying well-informed while improving health of their patients. A major ethical concern or dilemma in medication is that some physicians know their behavior is unethical, yet act against their moral compass. This study develops models of theory–practice gap, offering optimal solutions for the gap. These solutions would enhance self-motivation or remove external obstacles to stimulate ethical practices in medicine. The (...)
