Nachdem den Hoffnungen, die sich in der Rede vom »Spätkapitalismus« noch anmeldeten, keine materielle Gewalt mehr eignet, ist es in der Theorie fade geworden. Das Wursteln in der Positivität ersetzt die Arbeit des Begriffs. Gleichwohl gehört es zu den Schönheiten dieser Zeit, daß eben diese Brunft zur Anpassung sich als »reflexive Moderne« aufspreizt. Dies Denken ordnet an, sich einzurichten und abzufinden. Auch die Philosophie hat dem Überschuß des Denkens entsagt und verhökert sich als ethische Lebenshilfe für Industrie, Tourismus, Naturheilkunde. Die (...) »Kryptogramme der Macht« attackieren diese Selbstgefälligkeit. »Die Totalität der Bilderwelt, die die tägliche Produktion von Geschichte sofort ins Vergessen drängt, so als seien die Bilder die Welt selber, vereitelt jeden Versuch historischer Erkenntnis. Die unendliche Zerlegbarkeit sich vollziehender Geschichte macht aus den sozialen Ereignissen austauschbare digitale Quantitäten. Die Bilder lassen die Welt verschwinden; das einst erkennende Subjekt ist auf der Flucht vor sich selber. Dies macht Angst; Freud spricht von frei fluktuierenden Ängsten, die mit Gewalt Halt suchen. Gewalt mag die Flucht der Bilder vielleicht einzudämmen. Wenn eine Gesellschaft große Teile der Bevölkerung durch Arbeitslosigkeit auslagert und durch die Verschiebung der Sexualität auf Gewalt Ökonomie und Phantasie falsch versöhnt, dann ist die Kultur im Nerv getroffen: in der Struktur der Reproduktion selbst. Die Auslagerung der Arbeitslosen als nutzloser Sozialversicherungsballast erheischt eine gigantische Werteproduktion für die ›heile‹ Welt. Die Gewaltförmigkeit von Technik und Kommunikation zeigt die Abenddämmerung der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft an. Das ist das dunkle Afrika, das wir zu entdecken haben.« Helmut Reinickes Attacken zielen auf die dunklen Stellen in der Genesis des Bewußtseins der ›Moderne‹, decken das Heteronome auf in der Geschichte der Philosophie, verweilen im Nebensächlichen und treiben sich herum im Immobilienhandel mit tradierten ontologischen Standorten. Sie treffen die Ducke der Menschen, das Wohlbefinden in der Knechtschaft, die Ästhetisierung der Herrschaft. Das Durchstreifen des subgeschichtlichen Terrains übt den Angriff mit der linken Hand – am Höhlenfeuer Platons, in den Träumen des Descartes, betreffs der Gegengewalt jüdischer Gauner, gegen den Kultus der Technik. The article offers a critical assessment of an article on "Corporate Legitimacy as Deliberation" by Guido Palazzo and Andreas Scherer in this journal. We share the concern about the precarious legitimacy of globally active corporations, infringing on the legitimacy of democracy at large. There is no quarrel with Palazzo/Scherer's diagnosis, which focuses on the consequences of globalization and ensuing challenges for corporate social responsibilities. However, we disagree with the "solutions" offered by them. In a first step we refute the idea (...) of a legitimacy of morals, maintaining that morality is a premodern mode of creating legitimacy. Even worse, moral is becoming a dangerous commodity under conditions of fundamental global disagreements and antagonisms. We secondly refute the concept of the "politicized corporation", maintaining that Palazzo/Scherer disregard the consequences of functional differentiation of modern societies and, in particular, disregard the wisdom of political restraint and constitutional guarantees for the autonomy of different spheres of society. Finally, we refute a seemingly romantic notion of deliberation, maintaining that deliberation and deliberative democracy is a worthy idea, which, however, has no place in the real world of globalized contexts. On the other hand, we also find enough common ground and common concern with Palazzo/Scherer to validate a fruitful discourse. (shrink)

Das Verhältnis von Natur und Idee ist für jede idealistische Philosophie ein Kernpunkt ihres Ansatzes. Hegel bestimmte die Natur als das Andere der Idee, die sich in Freiheit als Natur aus sich entläßt. In der Natur zeigen sich die logischen Strukturen verhüllt und im Abbild, z. B. die Naturgesetze und die logischen Beziehungen. Auch die Kategorie des Lebens in Hegels Logik belegt die enge Verbindung von Natur und Logik. Die Entäußerung der Idee in der Natur gehört zum Wesen der Idee (...) auf ihrem Weg zum Geist. Diese Thematik wird in acht Beiträgen von bekannten Hegelforschern unter verschiedenen Aspekten bearbeitet. This volume presents philosophical contributions examining questions of the grounding and justification of taxation and different types of taxes such as inheritance, wealth, consumption or income tax in relation to justice and the concept of a just society. The chapters cover the different levels at which the discussion on taxation and justice takes place: On the principal level, chapters investigate the justification and grounding of taxation as such and the role taxation plays and should play in the design of justice, (...) be it for a just society or a just world order. On a more concrete level, chapters present discussions of these general reflections in more depth and examine different types of taxation, tax systems and their design and implementation. On an applied level, chapters discuss certain specific taxes, such as wealth and inheritance taxes, and examine whether or not a certain tax should be favored and for what reasons as well as why it is just to target certain kinds of assets or income. English summary: The conference papers collected in this volume focus on Platonism in the Byzantine Middle Ages and Italian Renaissance. Authors considered are Maximos and Psellos, as well as Nicolas Cusanus, the Florentine Platonics of the 15th century, up to Pico della Mirandola. German description: Zu den charakteristischen Aspekten der italienischen Renaissance gehort ein esoterisch gepragter Platonismus, der wesentlich auf Vorlaufern im byzantinischen Mittelalter beruht. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind dabei die Chaldaeischen Orakel und der Hermetismus; weiterhin treten neben die Hinwendung (...) zur Weisheit des alten Agypten vielfaltige Varianten des Interesses an Platonismus und Esoterik. Diese Themen, dazu Phanomene der spateren Rezeptionsgeschichte bis in die Zeit der Aufklarung, waren Gegenstand einer Tagung, die vom 19. bis 23. Juli 2010 in Frankfurt am Main stattfand. Die im vorliegenden Sammelband enthaltenen Beitrage gehen auf diese Veranstaltung zuruck. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei aus byzantinischer Zeit Schriften des Maximos und des Psellos, aus der Renaissance Texte von Nikolaus von Kues und den Florentiner Platonikern des fruhen 15. The way physics and other parts of science work can be explained in the framework of radical constructivism. However, this constructivist view itself shows that a uniquily accepted epistemology, constructivism or any other, would not be an advantage for the developmentof science. Unlike physics some parts of science successfully use constructivist concepts inside their theories. Because this is the case particularly in learning theory, constructivist ideas can help to improve physics teaching.

The thoughts presented here describe the »Reality« of money and its Connections, in the sense oft he point of attachment, to an ethic of »Money«. The respective theological remarks to the descriptions integrate, strenghten and interpret these and thus present perspectives for the handling of money without, however, providing handling methods. A functional view of the social and economic sciences is not sufficient for a description of money by means of ethics. Although ethics must have knowledge of this »Rationality«, yet (...) the many methods of talking of and money are an indication for ethical reflections that behind the functional reality of money there lurks an »Ethical« dimension which require tobe deciphered and interpreted.
