Reinhard Lauth (1919-2007) ist einer der bedeutendsten systematischen Philosophen des 20. Jahrhunderts. In der 1979 erschienenen "Theorie des philosophischen Arguments" fasste er in einer streng formalisierten Sprache die Grundlagen systematischen Philosophierens zusammen. In seinen letzten Lebensjahren hat er seinen transzendentalphilosophischen Ansatz weiter entwickelt, was in dem hier erstmals veröffentlichten zweiten Teil des Buchs ihren Niederschlag gefunden hat. Reinhart Koselleck is among the most original German theorists of history and historiography. His international reputation is due in part to his contributions as theorist and editor of the remarkable lexicon Geschichtliche Grundbegriffe (GG). The GG is an exceptional reference work that goes far towards realizing Koselleck's program and distinctive version of Begriffsgeschichte (the history of concepts, conceptual history). What is presented here is a translation in full of Koselleck's own entry on Krise (crisis). The following investigation illustrates, by concrete historical examples, some of the basic results, outlined in earlier papers on theory evolution and reference dynamics in science (cf. All theories considered in this paper are represented within a metatheoretical frame that has become known as (...) the structuralist view in the philosophy of science. The paper focusses on some physical constants, namely the mass and charge of electrons, henceforth denoted by m₀ and e₀, of Boltzmann's constant k, Faraday's constant F and Avogadro's Number ${\rm N}_{{\rm A}}$ , and the evolution of their 'reference spectra' from the beginning of the 19th century until the early days of quantum physics. The bells tolling on 9 May 1945 were heralding peace. The question remained: what kind of peace and for whom? Thousands of us marched on a trail for many kilometers, from Mährish-Ostrau eastward, like a silent accordion, sometimes extended, sometimes compressed, chased, not knowing where we were going. The voices of the bells echoed over our column and raised hopes from whose nonfulfillment countless people would perish, not being able to bear the disappointments of the new forthcoming peace. However, it (...) was all unknown to us, we did not even know where we were going. Yet we knew where we were coming from, from the cauldron that had continuously tightened over four weeks, and from which we had definitely failed to escape on 1 May. With a wounded soldier on my back, I laid down my gun. At that point, we didn’t know yet that the Americans would hand all the prisoners that had reached the redemptive West from Bohemia and Moravia back to the Russians. So this fight had been futile and every death in vain. The dead were still lying around in countless numbers. (shrink)

Cette étude vise dans l'ensemble à définir correctement l'idéalisme de J. G. Fichte en analysant sa pensée dans sa relation avec l'empirisme logique. Il se peut qu'il existe des sentiments inexprimables, mais toute pensée scientifique doit s'énoncer. Or il n'est point d'énoncé qui ne soit étayé par la raison dans son objectivité principielle. C'est cette même raison qui assure à l'objet empirique une vérité que par lui-même il ne possède pas. L'empiriste croit, se fondant, si l'on peut dire, sur le (...) donné plus que fluctuant des sensations, parvenir, par une induction que rien ne justifie, à conférer à son objet une consistance plus relevée. Prédécesseur de Husserl, mais aussi de Whewell, Fichte montre que la raison est immanente à l'expérience comme visée et pouvoir d'universalité. Loin que le monde soit un rêve, c'est la demeure de l'esprit. Aussi, se plaçant sur le terrain de l'empirisme, l'auteur de la Doctrine de la Science parvient à renverser les rôles : le rêveur est l'empiriste. L'auteur de l'article, dont l'éloge n'est plus à faire, a voulu montrer en rassemblant des textes qui appartiennent aux différentes étapes de la progression philosophique de Fichte la constance fondamentale de cette orientation qui veut qu'il n'existe de réalisme vrai que par l'esprit.
