Ahiṃsā or non-violence. is a key concept which permeates Indian ethics. In this book the author compares, for the first time, the different meanings of ahiṃsā in Jainism, Buddhism and Vedism.

Mahatma Gandhi is perhaps the most discussed and also the most misunderstood man in the world today. The author had endeavoured to distinguish historical religions from universal religion and to analyse the different meanings of truth.
