In dem Band »Angst, Lust, Zerstörung« haben Schorsch & Becker (1977) 14 Fälle von sexuell konnotierten Tötungsdelikten und zwei weitere schwere Sexualdelikte beschrieben. Die Täter sind von psychoanalytisch orientierten Autoren gesehen, ausführlich begutachtet und theoretisch eingeordnet worden. Diese Arbeit kann als einer der wesentlichen Ausgangspunkte einer spezifisch deutschen Auseinandersetzung mit Perversionskonzepten – besonders der Perversionen, die zu schweren Delikten führen, aber keineswegs auf sie beschränkt – gesehen werden. Dem Einfluss dieser Arbeit bis in die Gegenwart wird nachgegangen.

Das Phänomen, Kinderpornographie bis zum Grad süchtiger Abhängigkeit zu konsumieren, hat besonders durch die Entwicklung des Internets massiv zugenommen und beschäftigt seither Polizei, Gerichte und therapeutische Institutionen. Die fünfjährige psychoanalytische Behandlung eines Pädagogen im Kirchendienst bietet Einblicke in lebensgeschichtliche Voraussetzungen, Entwicklungsdynamik, Behandlungsmöglichkeiten und deren Grenzen bei solchen Fällen. In seinem Fall bestand eine latente pädophile Neigung, die eher den höher strukturierten Formen im Sinne Kernbergs bzw. Perdigaos angehört und die sich durch das Pornographie-Angebot im Internet massiv steigerte. Nach Abschluss der (...) Analyse wurde der Patient noch drei Jahre in größeren Abständen katamnestisch nachuntersucht. Es bestätigt sich, dass die Gruppe von Störungen, die den höher strukturierten Formen perverser Symptombildung angehören, der Methode der Psychoanalyse zugänglich ist. (shrink)

It is from the experience of not understanding that we will develop the outline of a reflection on what it is understanding. This experience reveals to us the desire to understand that is extended into the dialectic between the will to understand and the desire to be understood. Insofar talk is mainly to communicate with others, dialogue will serve here as a guide: it not only enables us to recall the conditions of possibility of understanding, but it highlight the nature (...) of the duty to understand. In a second step, we will leave this pragmatic and ethical dimension of the act of understanding and its implications and we will show that the reflection about the intersubjective nature of understanding, finds its meaning in political reflection. Indeed, if it is true that language is essentially understood from the background knowledge shared by individuals, groups or communities of interpretation in a society, then the simple coexistence of a plurality of these interpretive communities requires the consideration of the claims of recognition of each of them claim in a politically structured space. There too the dialogue will be central to the experience of negativity that inhabits the act of understanding. (shrink)

Le philosophe canadien Charles Taylor est un des penseurs contemporains qui jouit d’une reconnaissance mondiale : il a initié et participé à plusieurs débats relatifs au libéralisme, au communautarisme et au multiculturalisme. Son œuvre est pluridimensionnelle puisque ses travaux portant, entre autres, sur la théorie de science, la théorie du langage, la théorie de l’action et de la personne, la théorie de la modernité.La pensée de Charles Taylor s’est élaborée non seulement en se nourrissant des traditions aussi bien phénoménologique qu’analytique, (...) mais, très concrètement, en prise directe avec les problèmes soulevés dans la société canadienne par la très grande diversité des immigrations. Sa pensée mérite d’autant plus à être méditée que les tentations de repli communautaire, si ce n’est de purification ethnique, semblent aujourd’hui croissantes. Les contributions – pour moitié en anglais – de ce colloque organisé à Budapest en 2012 en l’honneur et en présence de Charles Taylor invitent au contraire à interroger et à poursuivre son analyse des conditions qui permettraient l’avènement d’un monde véritablement pluriel. Cette contribution se propose d’étudier l’anthropologie philosophique de Karl Löwith en partant de sa thèse d’habilitation, Das Individuum in der Rolle des Mitmenschen (1928). L’étude de cet ouvrage, dont Löwith nous dit qu’il est « pensé de manière anthropologique », permettra de poser le cadre initial de son anthropologie dont nous montrerons que la visée est éthique. C’est là sans doute, comme nous le montrerons en passant par la lecture de Löwith par Gadamer, que se joue la véritable distanciation avec (...) l’ontologie heideggérienne, même lorsque la pensée de Löwith cherchera à expurger son anthropologie de tout anthropocentrisme. The science of religion, as a discipline distinct from theology emerging in the 19th century, from the beginning was closely related to the discourse on Darwinism. This article focusses on Max Müller, known as ‘The father of Comparative Religion’, who was involved in the Darwinian discourse, compared with Jane Ellen Harrison who emphasised the impact of the theory of evolution, approaching, however, the ‘scientific study of religion’ from a different viewpoint. RESUMEN Este ensayo presenta una reflexión sobre las limitaciones del medio digital para la enseñanza de disciplinas teóricas como la filosofía. Se quiere contrarrestar, hasta cierto punto, el entusiasmo prematuro que despierta la virtualidad en algunos estamentos universitarios. El texto se nutre de mi experiencia pedagógica en la pandemia y traza una mirada fenomenológica sobre lo que implica la pérdida del entorno de la presencia para la enseñanza filosófica. Al reflexionar sobre dicha pérdida, el ensayo también esboza algunas reflexiones dispersas (...) sobre lo que significa aprender y enseñar filosofía. ABSTRACT This essay presents a reflection on the limitations of the digital medium for the teaching of theoretical disciplines like philosophy. The aim is to counteract in part the premature enthusiasm that virtuality has awaken in some university circles. The text draws on my pedagogical experience during the pandemic and takes a phenomenological look at what the loss of the environment of presence implies for philosophical teaching. By reflecting on this loss, the essay also outlines some scattered reflections on what it means to learn and teach philosophy. (shrink)

There are a variety of ethical and legal issues that arise with the growing use of health information technology in clinical settings. While privacy and confidentiality of information is an important consideration in any electronic system, some of the issues related to using these systems to improve patient safety include changes to the standard of care in regard to using electronic rather than paper medical records, user training, and assuring accurate information is in the medical record and provided to users. There are other unique issues involved with the use of clinical decision support tools, exchange of health information across institutions, and the incorporation of genomic information into the clinical record. Informed consent for exchange of information as well as for the use of specialized tools will also be important to address. Health care information technology is rapidly improving and momentum is building for its expanded implementation. Strategies need to be developed to maximize the benefits of health information technology while minimizing the risks of harm associated with its implementation. The ethical issues raised in this article need to be addressed if the enormous potential of these systems to improve patient safety and quality of care is to be realized. Springer 2008. (shrink)

This article describes the intrinsic ambivalence of the face-to-face communication and gives examples to support its thesis, that there is no reason for preferring a concept of human understanding, which ignores the medial influences for personal communication in modern societies. The remembrance ofGod's invisibility also gives- especially for theological ethics - some further aspects to transform the traditional opinion, that only the visibility and authentic presentation of persans can be a good foundation formoral acting.

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag widmet sich der Einführung und Etablierung des Mädchenturnens mit Schwerpunkt auf den preußischen Schulen, wie es sich an der Wende vom 19. zum 20. Jahrhundert bis zum Ersten Weltkrieg vollzogen hat. Die Frage richtet sich dabei auf die Art und Weise, wie dieser Prozess verlief, aber auch darauf, weshalb die Ausdehnung des Schulturnens auf die Mädchen mit einiger Verzögerung gegenüber dem Knabenturnen zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt schließlich stattgefunden hat. Als Grundlage der Untersuchung dienen normative Quellen ebenso wie (...) einschlägige Zeitschriftenliteratur, anhand derer sich der die Entwicklungen begleitende Diskurs rekonstruieren lässt. The changing of social realities requires a new discussion about the important theological and philosophical thesis, that the command of charity further is self-evident in modern societies. The article describes some problems of this point of view and prefers an ethical theory, which espacially recognizes the artificial character of social choreographics and intends to show their implikations for a theory of cognition, a concept of anthropology and responsible personal acting.

La philosophie rencontre l'herméneutique parce que la compréhension, dont l'élan habite le projet philosophique, est l'objet même de l'herméneutique. Or, celle-ci nous apprend que pour comprendre vraiment, l'homme ne peut pas ne pas interpréter, c'est-à-dire qu'il doit individuellement reconstruire le sens qui n'est que dans le détour de l'interprétation. Le sens n'est en effet que ce que l'on comprend, chacun devant, de ce fait, assumer la responsabilité de ce qu'il comprend. Après avoir situé et discuté les approches philosophiques contemporaines se (...) réclamant de l'herméneutique, le présent ouvrage élabore à partir d'un héritage kantien les enjeux du devoir de comprendre et, à travers les notions de perspective et d'orientation, les principes de la constitution des univers de sens. Le caractère provisoire de ces derniers conduit l'herméneutique à se prolonger dans une philosophie de la culture fondée sur la remise en sens. (shrink)

Fora human being, intimacy is relevant for bis self-conception, bis relationships with others, with material objects and with god. Intimacy proves its glamour and its susceptibility to trouble in these four perceptional areas. The essay covers positive and negative aspects of some changes in perceptions of intimacy that result from social change and the introduction of new technologies. Theological ethics serves to limit and protect intimacy. At the same time, theological ethics has to emphasise and to substantiate the meaning of (...) christian commandment of love beyond the human close-up range. (shrink)

Masked priming experiments occasionally revealed surprising effects: Participants responded slower for congruent compared to incongruent primes. This negative congruency effect was ascribed to inhibition of prime-induced activation [Eimer, M., & Schlaghecken, F. . Response faciliation and inhibition in subliminal priming. Biological Psychology, 64, 7–26.] that sets in if the prime activation is sufficiently strong. The current study tests this assumption by implementing manipulations designed to vary the amount of prime-induced activation in three experiments. In Experiments 1 and 3, NCEs were (...) observed despite reduced prime-induced activation. Experiment 2 revealed no NCE with at least similar prime strength. Thus, the amount of prime activation did not predict whether or not NCEs occurred. Evil should be characterised as a specific constellation, which results from destructive connections between individual activities and systemic influences. The article shows some important aspects of the structure of evil and prefers the terms of wickedness and obscene coincidences to describe its own character. Therefore, also the division between rationality and affectivity appears as inadequate, because evil has on the one side an intrinsic attractiveness for individuals and is on the other side in modern societies more and more a product (...) of a rationality, which is free from passion. Especially the emotional impoverishment is responsible for the increase of evil, which is demonstrated by two examples. Based on Paul Ricoeur, the evolution of malum can be developed by a short analyse of the relationship between Ethics and Emotions. (shrink)

Comment les philosophes peuvent-ils penser les mythes de la tradition biblique? Les " mythes " sont en effet d'abord des textes qui restent à interpréter pour faire sens, et non de simples fictions ; c'est pourquoi ils donnent à penser. Les contributions réunies ici sont les fruits de la réflexion de spécialistes internationaux qui examinent, hors de tout engagement religieux, les rapports, tant de compréhension que de tension, que la pensée philosophique entretient avec ces récits spécifiques que sont les mythes (...) de l'Ancien ou du Nouveau Testament. Leur attention s'attache tant aux contenus que la philosophie réfléchit qu'aux méthodes mises en œuvre pour " lire en philosophe ". C'est là que se dégagent les enjeux de ce travail d'interprétation de textes largement symboliques et pris dans les grandes religions monothéistes : confronter la raison à une intelligence " autre " tout en lui permettant d'accéder à une compréhension rationnelle et universelle.
