The present article aims to explore the complex relation between global and European Pentecostalism and politics. The self-evident scarcity of studies on this particular topic, despite the global prominence and the dynamic growth of Pentecostalism, and the tendency to collapse strikingly opposing tendencies under a generic terminology call for a serious examination of the approaches Pentecostalism adopts in relation to political involvement. Throughout the three main sections of this paper, political, historical, cultural and theological concepts will be employed in order (...) to: firstly, provide a qualitative and quantitative overview of global Pentecostalism; secondly, explore worldwide different political preferences of Pentecostal churches and denominations that range from apolitism, to full-fledged political involvement, or to the preference for an alternative polis; thirdly, to analyse European Pentecostalism and the particularities of its relation with politics. Purpose of the article is to describe purpose of symposia oriented at sustainable development, existing achievements of the Pan-European University in organization of such events and future plans. In the study the author focuses on various aspects of bookselling in the late 18th century. The author seeks to describe the book market environment and the booksellers’ community in Bratislava at that time. She therefore documents communication channels between booksellers in Bratislava and their colleagues in Germany (mainly in Leipzig, Halle, and Berlin).

Bu çalışmada, bir yandan bilgiye yol açması bağlamında deneyimin inanca kaynak oluşturması, öte yandan insan edimlerine yol açması bağlamında inancın deneyimlenmesine olanak oluşturması nedeniyle inanç-deneyim ilişkisi irdelenecektir. İnanç-deneyim ilişkisinin olanaklılığı ve bu ilişkinin kuşkulu doğası, Davidson ve Wittgenstein gibi iki önde gelen çözümleyici filozofun konuyla ilgili açıklamaları dikkate alınarak araştırılmaktadır.Yazının ana savını şu temel fikir oluşturmaktadır: Sanılanın aksine, ne deneyimler inanç için sağlam ve kesin bir temel oluştururlar ne de deneyimler bilinmek için inançlara gereksinim duyarlar. In this paper, the relationship (...) between belief and experience will be investigated because on the one hand, experience creates a source for beliefs which leads knowledge and on the other hand it makes the experience possible, which leads human actions. Considering the analysis of two prominent analytic philosophers Davidson and Wittgenstein, the relationship of belief and experience, and the questionable nature of this relationship will be studied. The basic claim of this paper consists of the following primary idea: Contrary to what is believed, neither experiences form a firm and certain basis for beliefs, nor experiences are in need of beliefs to be known. Göçmenlerin farklı kimliklere sahip olmaları ötekileştirilme deneyimlerini arttırmaktadır. Başka bir deyişle; göçmenlerin farklı kültürel, etnik ya da dini kimliklere ilişkin olarak ötekileştirilmeleri daha olasıdır. Bu önermenin sonucu olarak ötekileştirme, onunla mücadeleyi merkeze alan politikalar tarafından “aşılması olası” ve yapaylığı ima eden bir olgu olarak ele alınmaktadır. Bu çalışma; “öteki”nin varlığını kimliğin oluşumu açısından kaçınılmaz görerek ötekileştirmeyi “olumsuz bir doğal” yapan unsurun sosyal bilişsel bir süreç olan “stereotipleştirme” üzerinden okunması ve çözümün burada aranması gerektiği savını, Henri Tajfel ve John Turner’ın Sosyal (...) Kimlik Teorisini temel alarak günümüzde “öteki” sıfatının atfedildiği göçmenler bağlamında ele almaktadır. İnsanların tarih boyunca doğal, sosyal, politik ve ekonomik sebeplerle başvurduğu göç eyleminin günümüzde yoğun kitlesel hareketliliğe dönüşmesi göçmen kimliğinin görünürlüğünü arttırmış ve bu kimliği küresel ölçekte ötekileştirmenin nesnesi tayin etmiştir. Ötekileştirmenin psikolojik ve politik bileşenlerinin etraflıca tetkiki, söz konusu fenomenin toplumsal çıktılarının ayrıştırıcı etkisini bertaraf edebilmek için bir başlangıç noktasıdır. Bu gaye ile çalışmada ötekileştirme pratiğine farklı bir zaviyeden yaklaşılmış, ötekileştirmeyi toplumsal yaşam açısından olumsuz sonuçlara eviren bilişsel sürecin tespitleri göçmenler üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. İlgili alanlarda teorik ve ampirik kaynakların taranması neticesinde edinilen bulgularla çalışma, sosyal psikolojik unsurların politik uygulamalara dâhil edilmesine dair yöntemlere ulaşma çabası ve toplumsal bütünlüğün tesis/muhafaza edilmesi için sunduğu politik psikolojik çözümler ile literatüre eklenmeyi hedeflemektedir. Thomas Kuhn’un 1962 yılında yayımlamış olduğu “Bilimsel Devrimlerin Yapısı” adlı kitabı bilimsel gelişme, bilimin doğası ve bilimsel bilginin özerkliği gibi çeşitli bilim felsefesi konularında alanında rölativist ya da göreci bir anlayışa katkıda bulunarak bilimin sarsılmaz statüsüne zarar verip vermediğine yöneliktir. Kuhn’un rölativistlikle suçlanmasına yol açan argümanlardan ön plana çıkan ikisi; iki farklı rakip paradigmaya bağlı olan kuramların kıyaslanmasının mümkün olmadığını ileri süren metodolojik eşölçülemezlik argümanı ile kuramdan bağımsız nötr gözlem önermelerinin olamayacağını belirten gözlemlerin kuram yüklü olduğu savıdır. Kuhn bu argümanlar (...) çerçevesinde kendisine getirilen görecilik iddialarına karşı çıkar ve bilim felsefecilerinin ona yöneltmiş olduğu eleştirilere yıllar içerisinde “Bilimsel Devrimlerin Yapısı” kitabının ek bölümlerinde cevap vermektedir. Bu bağlamda, Kuhn’un bu iddialara ikna edici bir cevap verip vermediğini tespit edebilmek ve onun gerçekten bilim ve bilimsel bilginin statüsü konusunda rölativist olup olmadığını soruşturmak için ortaya konulan eleştirilerin etraflıca ele alınması gerekliliği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Diğer bir deyişle, Kuhn'un görecilik konusu ile ilgili bir neticeye varabilmek amacıyla onun bütün bilim anlayışının göz önünde bulundurulması önemlidir. Dolayısıyla Kuhn'un genel bilim tasviri bu çalışmanın odağını oluşturmaktadır. Bu bakımdan çalışmada, ilk olarak kısaca “göreciliğin” ne anlama geldiği ortaya konulacak, ardından Kuhn’un eşölçülemezlik ve kuram yüklülük tezleri ayrıntılandırılarak, bu çerçeve içerisinde neden rölativist olarak kabul edildiği serimlenecektir. The notion of sound symbolism receives increasing interest in psycholinguistics. Recent research – including empirical effects of affective phonological iconicity on language processing (Adelman et al., 2018; Conrad et al., 2022) – suggested language codes affective meaning at a basic phonological level using specific phonemes as sublexical markers of emotion. Here, in a series of 8 rating-experiments, we investigate the sensitivity of language users to assumed affectively-iconic systematic distribution patterns of phonemes across the German vocabulary:After computing sublexical-affective-values (SAV) concerning valence (...) and arousal for the entire German phoneme inventory according to occurrences of syllabic onsets, nuclei and codas in a large-scale affective normative lexical database, we constructed pseudoword material differing in SAV to test for subjective affective impressions.Results support affective iconicity as affective ratings mirrored sound-to-meaning correspondences in the lexical database. Varying SAV of otherwise semantically meaningless pseudowords altered affective impressions: Higher arousal was consistently assigned to pseudowords made of syllabic constituents more often used in high-arousal words – contrasted by less straightforward effects of valence SAV. Further disentangling specific differential effects of the two highly-related affective dimensions valence and arousal, our data clearly suggest arousal, rather than valence, as the relevant dimension driving affective iconicity effects. The Czechoslovak-Soviet exhibition ‘Atoms for Peace’ was held in Prague and Bratislava in 1956. This exhibition became a symbol of Czechoslovak-Soviet ‘friendship’ and Soviet influence on the Czechoslovak nuclear programme. At the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958 (Expo 58), one of the most popular Czechoslovak exhibits was the betatron, which would become a symbol of Czechoslovak nuclear pride. The article analyzes the planning, creation and reception of these two exhibitions, as well as the popular image of the Czechoslovak betatron (...) in the Czechoslovak press and literature of that time. It shows how, in Czechoslovakia, the paradigm of Czechoslovak-Soviet friendship and Soviet dominance converged and became entangled with the effort to present Czechoslovakia as an industrially developed country capable of building the nation’s nuclear industry (partly) on its own. One of the results of this entanglement was the betatron – a highly successful and celebrated Czechoslovak nuclear exhibit that captivated both domestic and international audiences. (shrink)

Din kavramı insanlık tarihinde oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. İlk insan olan Hz. Adem’den bu yana toplumsal yaşamda insanların merkez aldıkları bir olgu olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Toplumsal yapıda meydana gelen bazı değişimlerle insan yaşamının merkezi olan din kavramının geleceği sorgulanmaya başlanmıştır. Modernite öncesi toplumlarda egemen olan din unsuru modernleşme aşamasına gelmiş toplumlarda dönüşüm sürecine girmiştir. Bunun ilk patlak verdiği nokta ise Fransız devriminin gerçekleştiği aydınlanma devri olarak bahsedilen dönemdir. Fransız devrimiyle birlikte aydınlanma çağına geçişte kilise temelinde gerçekleşen bir iktidar gerilemesi, (...) sekülerleşme kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Kilise ve ruhban sınıfın toplum üzerindeki yönlendirici etkisinin azalması noktasında ortaya atılan “dinin gerilemesi” ve “dinin süreç içinde yok olacağı” iddiaları, sekülerleşme olgusunu var olan toplumsal yapıda oldukça tartışılır boyutlara ulaştırmıştır. Nitekim tarihsel süreçte ortaya atılan hemen hemen her görüşün karşıt bir savı da bulunduğu gibi sekülerleşme sürecinin ortaya attığı bu görüşlere karşı oluşan Yeni Paradigma ve Eklektik Paradigma savunucularının savları, din olgusu üzerinde öngörülen bu sürecin tanımlanmasında yol haritası çizmiştir. Çalışmada sekülerleşme teorileri temelinde dinin geleceği değerlendirilirken Richard Rorty ve Gianni Vattimo’nun dinin geleceği hakkında gerçekleştirdiği söylemler kapsamında değerlendirme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada Sekülerleşme kavramı bağlamında dinin geleceği tartışılmıştır. Çalışmada din ve sekülerleşmenin kavramsal çerçevesi çizilmiş, sekülerleşme teorileri temelinde dinin geleceği hakkında Rorty ve Vattimo’nun ileri sürdüğü üç din söylemi üzerinden bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ve Sekülerleşme teorileri kapsamında din olgusunun toplumsal yaşamdaki rolünün hala devam edip etmediği ve ediyorsa hangi formlarda işlerliğini sürdürdüğü belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Klasik sekülerleşme Teorisi’nin öngördüğü “dinsel gerileme” ve “dinsel yok oluş” ifadelerinden hareketle dinsel olanın geleceği, söylemler ve teoriler ışığında tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu yazıda, en eski felsefe disiplini ve bilimlerin kraliçesi olan metafizik konusunda, onun aklın sınırları içerisinde niçin anlaşıla-maz olduğu hakkında Kant’ın çözümlemelerinin kavramsal zemini üzerinde durulacaktır. Kant’a göre, metafiziksel yargılar, kendilerini mantıksal diye ifade ederek gerçekliğin bilgisini verdikleri savını dile getirirler. Yine de bu durum, yanılsama mantığından başka bir şey değildir. Metafizikle mantık arasındaki ilişkinin gerçek değil de kavramsal yapıya sahip olması, onun bir yanılsamadan oluştuğunu ifade eder.

Disgust and Intimacy The aim of the paper is to present the results of preliminary research into the relation between disgust and intimacy. The authors apply current psychological conceptions of the emotions relating to social behaviour, primarily the theory of disgust associated with Paul Rozin, Jonathan Haidt and Clark McCauley. The research was conducted in a community of students living in student halls in Bratislava. The authors argue that social relationships may influence expressions of core disgust and the animal-nature (...) disgust that is considered to be an earlier stage in the evolutionary development of this emotion. More specifically, people's representations of feelings of disgust towards elicitors linked to certain persons are conditioned by the social categories those persons belong to and the socio-cultural schemas distributed in the given environment. A Geographical Approach for Measuring the Creative Capital. Case Study: Creative Capital Index of Slovakia Calculation of creativity index is a part of a modern quantification wave, in some cases also formulation of the spatial differentiation of social and economic phenomena required from the academic sphere by the decisive sphere. Policy makers have interest by this means to help themselves in obtaining public for their objectives. The creative capital as a sum of quantifiable creativity indicators is in this contribution operationalized (...) including the social capital, which is out of accord with a traditional understanding of creativity following the Florida's concept of the creative class. Methods for creativity index formation are introduced at the global level of states as well as at the regional level of a given state. There are substantial differences among both indexes results and statistical data on export of creative goods that are well documented on example of USA and China. Terminological chaos associated with the concepts of creative class and economy is thus extended with a chaos in the interpretation of findings, what contributes to the critique of the Florida's concept of creative class. There arise doubts that the quantification of creativity indexes with correlation quantification with other economic and social factors as GDP, entrepreneurship, inequality, Index HDI1) ; is maybe right in terms of mathematics, but it does not reveal the casual connections. The research purpose of the contribution is a geographical approach to the creative capital. The case study incorporates the Slovak regions, creativity index calculation and its spatial differentiation in form of map expression. The scientific goal lies in a confirmation of hypothesis about a dominant position of Bratislava region, and thus the capital of Slovakia. A limit of calculation is the choice of indicators which were strongly determined by the accessibility of statistical data. (shrink)

Makale feminizmin genel olarak insan dışı hayvanların, özel olarak da tarımda kullanılan insan dışı hayvanların özgür ve özerk yaşama haklarını savunması gerektiğini savlamaktadır. Tarımda kullanılan insan dışı hayvanlardan elde edilen ürünlerin üretim süreçleri sadece onların bedenlerinin insanların arzuları uyarınca üretilip tüketilmelerini değil, ömürleri boyunca doğalarına aykırı şartlarda yaşayarak, sürekli eziyete maruz bırakılmalarını kapsamaktadır. Üstelik mevcut pratikler dişi insan dışı hayvanları, özellikle süt ve yumurta endüstrilerinde, biyolojik üreme yetilerinden faydalanmak adına ek eziyetlere maruz bırakmaktadır. Bu temel savı desteklemek için bell hooks (...) ve Carol J. Adams gibi yazarların eserlerinden faydalanılarak dört argüman öne sürülmüştür. Cinsiyeti biyolojik parametrelerle tanımlamanın sorunlu olacağına dair bir eleştiri de değerlendirilip, bu eleştiriye Wittgensteincı düşünceden yola çıkan bir yanıt önerilmiştir: Her ne kadar tarımda kullanılan insan dışı hayvanların cinsiyetini biyolojik parametrelerle tanımlıyor olsak da bu, biyolojinin genel olarak kadınlığı ve dişiliği tanımlamanın yeterli veya tek kriteri olduğu anlamına gelmemektedir. An inseparable part of the history of the philosophical thought in Slovakia is also a short term existence of the year-book Philosophica slovaca. A scientific periodical published by the Institute of Philosophy, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, appeared for the first time in 1946, as the second Slovak philosophical periodical in a short period between two totalitarian regimes. Characteristic for this short intermediate period was the comeback and development of the principle of plurality and liberalism, making the existence of (...) various streams and tendencies od theoretical activity possible. The history of Philosophica slovaca gives us an example how a violent enforcing of totalitarianism can inhibit the creative thought in humanities and especially in philosophy. (shrink)

The paper is an introduction into the concept of intuition and intuitivism in the philosophy of N. O. Lossky, considered as a leading personality of the Russian philosophy of the first half of the XIXth century and who also has been affiliated with Slovakia: in 1941 – 45 he was the chair of the department of philosophy at The Slovak University in Bratislava. Nevertheless, the Slovak philosophers did not succeed yet in coming to terms with his philosophy and that (...) led to many misunderstandings. The background of Lossky’s philosophy was the specific character of Russian intellectual tradition. Among others in his philosophy this tradition reached its zenith. The argumentation of his monistic noetics was based on his belief, that all forms of valid knowledge are an immediate insight of objects in their originals. Due to this character of the theory of knowledge it is possible to preserve the vital, dynamic nature of reality and to conceive of subject as vital, living and creative being. Lossky tries to overcome the cleavage between knowledge and being, so characteristic for modern epistemology and science, by his doctrine of the noetic coordination of the subject and the object as the presupposition of the consciousness and knowing. The being, which determines the process of knowing, is not transcendent to this process, it is rather a part of it. (shrink)

The present study explores the contribution of the Slovak philosophical school, which uniquely grasped the European and Czechoslovak heritage of phenomenology and existential philosophy. In the text, the authors present a congenial and undeniably up-to-date concept of syncriticism as developed by Jozef Piaček and analyse its contribution to Slovak philosophical discourse and more broadly, in the dialogue of phenomenology and existential philosophy in Slovakia. In the study, the authors also examine the cultural-philosophical starting points and specifics of Slovak modern philosophy (...) and postmodern thinking as phenomena of the Central European intellectual space in the context of thinking about the unique and inspiring project of perichronosophy as a thematic invariant developed at philosophical workplaces in Central Europe (Comenius University Bratislava, Trnava University Trnava, Charles University Prague, Masaryk University Brno). Jozef Piaček has been affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University for many years, studied under Jan Patočka and is an expert on Husserl’s phenomenology. He has continuously developed a unique philosophical approach involving syncriticism and perichronosophy, which continues to resonate with his students at academic institutions in Slovakia and abroad. Piaček published several monographs and papers on the subject of syncriticism. The platform of living philosophy is his concept of a digital philosophical encyclopaedia, where he archives all publication outputs on the subject of the philosophy of syncriticism. This text will present Piaček’s concept of perichronosophy and concordance in Slovak philosophy, more broadly in phenomenology, as well as in the context of Patočka’s themes (philosophy as care for the soul in the village) with implications for the philosophy of education and philosophical therapy (dasein-analysis). In this paper, I set out to answer two foundational questions concerning our psychological engagements with fictions. The first is the question of fictional transformation: How we can see fictional media while also ‘seeing’ those objects as fictional ones? The second is the question of fictional response: How and why we take the objects of fiction to be the types of things that we can respond to and judge? Standard responses to these questions rely on distinct cognitive attitudes like pretense, (...) imagination, and make-believe. I call this position the distinct attitude view. I argue against the DAV, arguing instead that a psychological framework of fiction can answer the two questions without appealing to distinct mental attitudes. Hence, I call my position the standard attitude view. The challenge for the SAV is to explain the two questions in terms of everyday mental states and the intentional content of those states. Davidson, özellikle semantik metafor kuramlarına karşı eleştirel bir yaklaşım geliştirir. Ona göre metafor, bu kuramların aksine, tek anlamlı olarak kabul edilmelidir. Bunun için ifadeleri, anlamla ve kullanımla ilgili olarak ikiye ayırır. Metafor tek anlamlı ve açıkça yanlış bir ifadedir. Fakat birisi, çoğunlukla, doğru olduğuna inandığı ifadeler dile getirme eğilimindedir. Bu nedenle, bilerek yanlış bir ifade dile getirmek anlamla değil; kullanımla ilgili olmalıdır. Metaforlar yanışlıklarından dolayı kullanımla ilgilidir ve muhatapta dürtmeye benzer bir etki ortaya çıkarırlar. Bu etkinin bir neticesi bazı karşılaştırmalar (...) yapmak ve bazı benzerlikler bulmak olabilir. Ancak bunlar, anlamadan sonra gerçekleşen şeyler olduğu için anlamsal olmayacaktır. Dolayısıyla Davidson, metafor ifadelerin bilişsel, anlamsal ve önermesel olmadıklarını düşünür. Ayrıca metaforları eksiltilmiş benzetme olarak gören kuramların görüşlerini kabul etmez. Metaforla ilgili, sınırlı olumlu tanımlarından birisi ise Wittgenstein’ın tavşanördek görseline (T-Ö kafası) dayanır. Buna göre, metaforlar bir şeyi görmeyi değil ama bir şeyi, başka bir şey olarak-görmeyi sağlar. Dolayısıyla olarak-görme metaforu açıklamak için iyi bir yoldur. Bu çalışmada, Davidson’ın metafor kuramının ana hatlarını verdikten sonra, onun üç önemli özelliği bağlamında bir inceleme yapacağım. İlki, metaforla benzetme/benzerlik ilişkileri ve bunlarla ilgili sorunlardır. Diğeri metaforu olarak-görme ile açıklamanın sorunlarıdır. Sonuncusu ise metaforun tek anlamlı olduğu savıyla ilgilidir. Bu savın sorunlu yanlarına rağmen, semantik ve pragmatik metafor kuramları kadar iyi çalışan bir özellikte olduğunu göstermeye çalışacağım. Bununla birlikte, çoğunlukla, Davidson’ın kendi anlam kuramıyla ve başka metafor kuramlarıyla ilişkileri de göstermeyi deneyeceğim. (shrink)

Russell bu yazıda belirli betimlemelerin mantıksal olarak nasıl çözümlenmesi gerektiği ile ilgili kendi betimlemeler kuramını ortaya atar. Russell'ın savı, belirli betimlemeler doğru bir biçimde çözümlenirse bir karşılığı olmayan "Fransa'nın şimdiki kralı" gibi deyimlerin yol açtığı türden birçok felsefi bilmecenin ortadan kalkacağıdır.

Grill (2023) defends the sum of averages view (SAV), on which the value of a population is found by summing the average welfare of each generation or birth cohort. A major advantage of SAV, according to Grill, is that it escapes the Egyptology objection to average utilitarianism. But, we argue, SAV escapes only the most literal understanding of this objection, since it still allows the value of adding a life to depend on facts about other, intuitively irrelevant lives. Moreover, SAV (...) has a decisive drawback not shared with either average or total utilitarianism: it can evaluate an outcome in which every individual is worse off as better overall, even when exactly the same people exist in both outcomes. These problems, we argue, afflict not only Grill's view but any view that uses a sum of subpopulation averages, apart from the limiting cases of average and total utilitarianism. (shrink)

Fen eğitimi ve öğretiminin anahtar unsurlarından bir tanesi bilimin doğasının ve özelliklerinin doğru bir şekilde tespit edilmesidir. Bilimin doğasına yönelik tespitler fen eğitimi yöntemlerini birçok açıdan etkilemektedir. Fen eğitimi ve fen öğretimi ile ilgili olan kişiler bilimin doğasının açık bir şekilde öğretilmesi gerektiğini kabul etmektedir. Thomas Kuhn’un bilim tarihi, bilim felsefesi ve bilim sosyolojisi alanlarını içeren incelemeleri neticesinde ileri sürdüğü bilimin yapısına, işleyişine ve doğasına yönelik tezleri (paradigma, olağan bilim, bilimsel devrimler, eşölçülemezlik, bulmaca çözme, kuram seçimi, keşif ve gerekçelendirme ayrımı) (...) fen eğitimi ve öğretimi alanında sıklıkla başvurulan kaynaklar olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda makalede mantıkçı pozitivist bilim anlayışının bilimin nesnel, evrensel, kesin gerçekleri ortaya çıkaran, sosyal-kültürel değerlerden ve ön yargılardan bağımsız, bilimsel bilginin birikimsel bir şekilde ilerlediği yönündeki iddiası bilimin gerçek doğasını yansıtamadığı düşüncesiyle Kuhn’un görüşleri çerçevesinde tartışılmaktadır. Makalenin temel savı Kuhn’un bilime ve bilimin doğasına yönelik tespitlerinin bilimin gelişen, dönüşen ve değişen yapıdaki gerçek doğasına vurgu yaptığı ve böylece fen eğitiminde sıklıkla başvurulan bilimin doğasına yönelik kavrayışı dönüştürdüğüdür. I offer a novel view of the mechanisms underlying the spontaneous facial expression of emotion. According to my Social Amplification View, facial expressions result from the interplay of two processes: an emotional process that activates specific facial muscles, though not always to the point of visible contraction, followed by a social cognitive process that amplifies these activations so that they may function more effectively as social signals. I argue that SAV outperforms both the Neurocultural View and the Behavioral Ecology View, (...) as well as previously proposed syntheses of these views, in accounting for various empirical findings. What are the ethical concerns among the growing populations of business people in Central & Eastern Europe, and how might they be dealt with practically in the course of business life? David Murray has been a management consultant since 1979 working primarily with the Hay Group in the area of strategic organisational change. Since founding Maine Consulting Services in 1991 he spends most of his time in the field of business and professional ethics, also holding a Visiting Fellowship at the (...) University of Central Lancashire. He is chairman of the Professional & Technical Board at the (British) Institute of Quality Assurance and a coordinating editor of the quarterly Organisations & People. Marek Kucia is a social researcher operating his own research agency (which organised the Polish part of this exercise) and an academic teaching sociology, and conducting and co‐ordinating Central European Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow. He studied political science, sociology and philosophy at Krakow and studied for his PhD at Oxford. He has also worked for Gallup, London, in opinion and market research. This survey report is based on presentations made in April 1994 to the EBEN Research Centres Conference in Prague, and in June 1994 to the conference on “Ethics in Transition” organised in Gödöllö, Hungary, by the Democracy after Communism Foundation, Budapest. Bu çalışmada Feminist teologların Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlıkta var olduğunu iddia ettikleri eril Tanrı anlayışına yönelik getirdikleri eleştiriler ve bunların tutarlılığı objektif bir biçimde ele alınacaktır. Ayrıca Yahudilik ve Hristiyanlıkta ataerkil ve toplumsal baskılardan dolayı oluşan, teolojiye atfedilmiş kadın karşıtı görüşler ve ortaya çıkardıkları sonuçlar araştırılmaktadır. Eleştirel, yorumlayıcı ve bütüncül yöntemler perspektifinde analizlerden faydalanılarak bir bağlam oluşturulmaya gayret gösterdiğimiz bu makalede, Feminist teologların iddia ettiği gibi Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlık dinlerinin erkeklerin tekelinde olup/olmadığı, bu konuda ataerkil zihniyetin baskınlığı iddiası, din dilinin daima (...) erkekler tarafından kullanıldığı gibi meseleler incelenmiş, bu sorulara yanıtlar aranmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra cinsiyet rolleri konusunda farklı öğretilerin mevcudiyeti, günümüzde birçok toplumda kadın-erkek rollerinin eşitliği üzerine odaklanan tartışmalar, Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlığın kadın ve erkek rollerine geliştirdiği tanımlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu perspektifte Feminist teoloji, genellikle dini metinlerin cinsiyetle ilişkilendirilmesi, kadının da teolojik alanda söz sahibi olmasını vurgulamaktadır. Feminist teoloji, bu düşüncenin Yahudilik ve Hıristiyanlıkta var olduğu savını, eril Tanrı anlayışına ve erkek egemen zihniyetine getirdiği birtakım argümanlarla eleştirmektedir. Feminist teolojinin amacı özellikle de teolojik alanda kadınlar için oluşturulmuş genellemeleri ortadan kaldırmaktır. Ayrıca Feminist teoloji, kadınların da erkekler gibi teolojik alanda söz sahibi olduklarını ortaya koyma düşüncesindedir. Feminist teoloji, cinsiyet konularını dini alanda inceleyen ve eleştiren bir tür disiplindir. Bu disiplin, geleneksel olarak eril bir bakış açısıyla yorumlanmış olan dini metinleri ve uygulamaları yeniden ele alarak bir eleştiriye tâbi tutmaktadır. Feminist teologlar, çağlar boyu, nesilden nesile aktarılan teolojik öğretilerin tek bir cinse isnat edilmesini eleştirmektedir. Feminist teolojinin amacı, dini deneyimi ve inancı cinsiyet eşitliği ve adaleti temel alarak yeniden şekillendirmektir. Bu disiplin, geleneksel olarak erkek egemen olarak kabul edilen dini doktrinleri, metinleri ve uygulamaları eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirmektedir. Bu bağlamda mevcut uygulamaların değişmesini temenni etmektedir. Dinin cinsiyet alanında önemli bir role sahip olan feminist teoloji, daha adil ve eşitlikçi bir yapıya doğru ilerlemeye katkı sağlamakta ve kadınların dini alanda daha fazla görünürlük ve etki alanı elde etmelerini desteklemektedir. Cinsiyet ve dini konular arasındaki ilişkileri daha derinlemesine anlamak ve toplumda daha adil bir yapı oluşturmak için önemli bir katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu makalede de Feminist teolojinin ele aldığı sorunlar, bunların çözümleri ve Eril tanrı anlayışına yönelik eleştirileri ele alınacaktır. (shrink)
