    Numerous papers have investigated the transitivity principle of ‘better-than.’ A recent argument appeals to the principle of mereological dominance for transitivity. However, writers have not treated mereological dominance in much detail.     In this paper, using a propositional modal language extended with the window modality, we capture the first-order properties of various mereological theories.
