In this chapter, I discuss the impact and legacy of Edith Stein’s philosophy in Canada and the United States. I identify three waves of reception of Stein’s philosophical work since her untimely death in 1942. The first phase we can refer to as the “Preservation of Edith Stein’s Legacy.” The second phase consists of a dissemination of her work and the third, more contemporary phase revolves around new scholarship and applications of her thought to various philosophical and social-political questions. Статтю присвячено 100-літньому ювілею єпископа Софрона Мудрого, професора східного канонічного права Папського Східного інституту в Римі, згодом Івано-Франківської теологічної академії та Прикарпатського національного університету імені Василя Стефаника. Вона складається з двох блоків. У першому блоці запропоновано розбір наукових праць, написаних за чверть століття починаючи з кінця 1990‑рр. представниками різних галузей вітчизняної гуманітаристики, в яких досліджуються церковна, освітянська й наукова сфери його діяльності. Огляд наукових розвідок дозволив не тільки показати масштабність цієї непересічної особи як церковного й культурного діяча, але й виявити (...) суттєву прогалину – відсутність досліджень філософських поглядів преосвященного Владики. У другому блоці вперше в науковому дискурсі запропоновано аналіз філософського виміру історичного й правознавчого доробку професора Мудрого, його історіософії, висвітлено філософсько-богословське бачення мислителем тисячолітньої історії українського християнства у фокусі таких понять як «прозелітизм» і «ціна терпіння». Автор стверджує, що філософія як світогляд формувала кожну церковну чи публічну промову Софрона Мудрого, його наукову й богословську думку та визначала ідейний і концептуальний рівень його праць і висловлювань. Як історик Церкви і як доктор канонічного права, професор Мудрий виробив філософсько-релігійне бачення історичних та юридичних проблем прозелітизму у світлі цілісного розуміння ідентичності національного й релігійного в їх нерозривності, взаємозв’язку та взаємовпливі на героїчних шляхах, позначених славою, і на трагічних манівцях історії становлення Української Церкви й української нації як єдиного історично-культурного процесу. Het 100-jarige bestaan van de Vereeniging voor Wijsbegeerte des Rechts De Vereeniging voor Wijsbegeerte des Rechts (VWR) is opgericht op 28 december 1918. Zij had tot doel de studie van de rechtsfilosofie en het maatschappelijk leven. Deze studie moest tevens relevant zijn voor de rechtspraktijk. Vanaf haar oprichting kende de VWR een sterke internationale oriëntatie, aanvankelijk gericht op Duitsland, later vooral op het Verenigd Koninkrijk en de VS. In de jaren zeventig en tachtig van de vorige eeuw beleefde de VWR (...) wat betreft belangstelling en ledenaantal haar hoogtepunt. In 2016 besloot zij – na een gestage neergang – de band met de Nederlandstalige (praktijk)jurist weer aan te halen. (shrink)

Sigmund Freuds »Jenseits des Lustprinzips« und die darin entwickelte Todestriebhypothese werden seit 100 Jahren kontrovers diskutiert, wobei die »zaudernde« Rezeption den im Text beschriebenen und vorgeführten »Zauderrhythmus« des Freud’schen Denkens abbildet. Die vorliegende Arbeit nimmt ausgehend von einer Skizze der Freud’schen Kernannahmen zum Todestrieb eine werkgeschichtliche Einordnung vor und stellt dann die Rezeptionsgeschichte einschließlich der Vorschläge zur Modifikationen in verschiedenen psychoanalytischen Denklinien vor (Klein-Bion, Lacan und andere französische Autoren, Bedeutung der Aggression). Neuere Ansätze werden unter dem Blickwinkel dialektischen Denkens und (...) des Einbezugs von Objektverlust betrachtet und Bezüge zur Sozialpsychologie und Kulturphilosophie dargestellt. In order to accomplish this, OLPC must introduce twenty-first century technology to the poverty-stricken, which can lead to more efficient means of education. Nicholas Negroponte, founder of OLPC, explains that in his opinion, "whatever big problem you can imagine, from world peace to the environment to hunger to poverty, the solution always includes education". ObjectiveThe present study aimed to identify and analyze the bibliometric characteristics of the 100 top-cited studies on neuropsychology.MethodsWe searched the Web of Science Core Collection database to collect studies on neuropsychology from inception to 31st December 2019. Two authors independently screened the literature and extracted the data. Statistical analyses were performed using R software.ResultsThe 100 top-cited articles were cited a total of 166,123 times, ranging from 736 to 24,252 times per article. All of the studies were published from 1967 to (...) 2014 in 47 journals. Neuropsychologia had the highest number of articles, followed by Neurology. The top three most productive countries were the USA, England, and Canada. Eight authors contributed the same number of studies as the first author or corresponding author. The most productive institute was the University of California, followed by the University of Pennsylvania. Of the 100 top-cited publications, 64 were original articles, and 36 were reviews. The top three Web of Science categories were clinical neurology, behavioral sciences, and psychiatry.ConclusionThis study provides insight into the impact of neuropsychology research and may help doctors, researchers, and stakeholders to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of trends and most influential contributions to the field, thus promoting ideas for future investigation.
